About the RSL
Since its foundation in 1916, the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) has worked tirelessly to help build a better Australia providing welfare services to ex-service men and women. It is known for its active role in community affairs & determination to preserve our way of life.
The RSL Art Union conducts 10 Art Unions every year. Six usually consist of a fully furnished Gold Coast waterfront Prize Home valued at over $1.2 million. Three are ‘instant property portfolio’ packages, (for example 3, one to two bedroom apartments in sought-after locations) their combined valued worth over $1.4 million. The RSL Art Union typically offers the largest and most expensive prizes out of any Art Union in Australia, all for the price of a $5 ticket. Once a year we run our special $10 Art Union, the Golden Treasure. The Golden Treasure is a unit block and penthouse worth over $3 million.
How your money & support helps
A major activity of the RSL is the provision of welfare services to ex-service men & women, their dependants & to other members of the Community. Welfare includes pension & advocacy services, care facilities, home care & financial assistance to ex-servicemen & women including their dependants.
In 1956 the RSL Art Union, which is a Queensland-based lottery, was established to raise funds to provide these essential services.
The marketing strategy of the Art Union has been the same for more than a decade & is based on quality waterfront prize homes on Queensland’s Gold Coast, one of Australia’s most sought-after residential locations. In addition to the major prize, a wide range of bonus prizes is also available.
The success of this strategy is evidenced by the fact that, since its inception, the RSL Art Union has given away $200+ million in prizes & has also raised over $100+ million for the support of the RSL & associated welfare activities.
By purchasing a lottery ticket, you could win a prize home that will change your life & that of your family. Be aware that you are also contributing to the wellbeing of Australian ex-service men & women, their dependants & other members of the Community who are in need of assistance.

About Surf Lifesaving Foundation
The Surf Life Saving Lottery raises funds for Surf Life Saving from the sale of Lottery tickets where supporters have the chance to win Gold Bullion, Cars, Prize Homes or even choose to design their own 1st prize. Australia has a massive 35,000 km of coastline where volunteer Surf Lifesavers from 310 clubs around the country assist more than 100 Million beach visitations each year.
Where your money goes
- Rescue Gear & Equipment
- Surf Lifesaver Training
- First Aid Supplies
- Surf Safety Community Education Programs
The cost of providing this service is only possible thanks to the wonderful support of the community. Donations are directed into 4 main areas requiring ongoing funding; rescue gear & equipment, Surf Lifesaver training, first aid supplies & surf safety community education programs
Surf Life Saving Association (SLSA) is a not-for-profit organisation & it can sometimes be easy to forget that Surf Lifesavers volunteer their time to patrol our beaches. This time is given freely & willingly, at no cost. However, lifesaving equipment costs money & this is where we seek support from the public. Rescue gear & equipment represents the biggest single cost to running lifesaving services in Australia.
The sun, surf & sand are the reasons we love going to the beach but these are also the very elements that damage the rescue gear & equipment that our Surf Lifesavers use every day. There’s no second chance when it comes to saving lives; ongoing maintenance or eventual replacement is needed to make sure that they are in top condition & are ready for any beach emergencies.
Help support SLSA by entering their lottery and go in the draw to win a luxury house!

How your money helps
Every year, Mater Foundation delivers a host of fundraising activities including lotteries, events & direct mail appeals. The money raised from these fundraising initiatives helps fund:
- The purchase of life-saving medical equipment
- Mater’s world-renowned medical research as they find better ways to diagnose, treat & ultimately cure life-threatening diseases
- support for patients & families both financially & emotionally
Being a charity, Mater Foundation relies heavily on community, corporate & individual support & donations to help ensure the half a million babies, children & adults treated at Mater each year have access to exceptional care.
By making a donation to Mater Foundation, you too can make a difference to countless lives by supporting health care projects that benefit people of all ages from newborn babies to the elderly. Every day for more than 100 years, Mater has cared for the people of Queensland.
Over this time, it is amazing to see that fundraising & philanthropy is still in the heart of our supporters who continue to give to Mater. This support comes in all shapes & sizes, from a $2 Mater Prize Home Lottery ticket, to million dollar donations & bequests.
Donating to charity, in particular Mater hospitals, is an amazing way our supporters help keep Mater at the forefront of patient care and treatment.
